International Women In Engineering Day 2025: #TogetherWeEngineer

International Women in Engineering Day has become a platform to showcase the incredible work of women in engineering worldwide. This year, we are celebrating the amazing work that our female engineers and those around the world are doing to support lives and livelihoods every day, ‘Together We Engineer’.

Despite progress, women continue to be underrepresented in engineering. This day not only celebrates the achievements of women in engineering, but it also inspires young professionals and aspiring engineers alike.

Pell Frischmann is committed to driving positive change, both within the company and in the industry. We are starting to see the positive impact of our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Action Plan following its re-launch earlier this year, but we recognise that there is more to do.

We invited some of our female engineers to describe what the theme of the year– #TogetherWeEngineer –means to them in a single word.

Their answers reflect a diverse range of voices across the field and aim to inspire the next generation of women in engineering.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

At Pell Frischmann, we are committed to putting Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) at the heart of our culture. Pell Frischmann, and the journey of each individual employee, does not exist in a vacuum. Inequality varies across sectors, disciplines, regions and characteristics. Through our EDI Strategy, we focus our efforts, time and resources on the areas where we can have the most positive beneficial impact on our people and society.

After extensive research, the organisation has recognised three goals to help support positive change within Pell Frischmann, our industry as a whole and in society more generally.

To help support this, an EDI Action Group was formed – a group from across the business (region, discipline, characteristics, grade) – appointed and empowered to drive the strategy forward.

Moreover, we are thrilled to have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Leader – Consultant category, awarded by New Civil Engineer Awards.
