Transport Planning
Pell Frischmann’s Transport Planning experience has been developed over four decades, providing consultancy services across the breadth of the Buildings, Highways & Transportation and Land Development sectors.
Led by Damian Kilburn, our highly skilled and experienced Transport Planning Team has delivered some of the most notable schemes in the UK, such as transport planning for Ebbsfleet Central (the core first phase of the new Garden City in Kent), the 10-year alliance contract for the expansion and extension of the Midland Metro, and our long-term relationships with local authorities such as Birmingham City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire to support the delivery of their local transport plans and activities.
The team is integral to multi-disciplinary projects, providing policy advice, transport modelling, demand analysis, economic appraisal and developing business cases, engineering design, operations, management, training, safety and research. Our activities span the spectrum of public-sector and private enterprises.
The way people travel is changing with a wide variety of new technologies and transportation types, from cars to micro-mobility, from new to well-established forms. With the uptake of Electric Vehicles (EV), Connected Autonomous Vehicles (CAV) and the growth of cycling and Light Rapid Transit (LRT), the challenges of sustainable and safe mobility are considerable.
