Airside

Pell Frischmann has been active in the Aviation Sector for over 40 years and, most recently, has expanded from landside support services into the complex and challenging environment of delivering airside services, including Airside Pavement Engineering, Aviation Systems and Compliance expertise.

The team has developed an enviable project portfolio, undertaking extensive design work for London City Airport, London Luton Airport and supporting the Ministry of Defence’s airfield estate.

Our team, led by Gary Weekes, provides planning, design, operation, and maintenance of airside facilities for aircrafts to land, take-off, load and unload efficiently and safely in compliance with international regulations. Working collaboratively with clients and operational stakeholders, our team identifies opportunities to increase capacity, apply new technologies and future proof infrastructure to maximise potential while minimising operational impacts during development activities.

Transport by air is at the centre of our socio-economic fabric, underpinning social connections and facilitating access to goods and services, including trade, jobs, healthcare and education. The aviation sector is growing fast and will continue to grow. The most recent estimates suggest that demand for air transport will increase by an average of 4.3% per annum over the next 20 years. At the same time, the sector must respond to the impact of climate change and the effect of air travel on the environment, striking the balance between effective mobility and a sustainable future.
