Social Value & Our Suppliers

Social Value is the long-term, sustainable improvement for society that can be gained by promoting positive social, economic and environmental impact. The Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 came into force on 31 January 2013 and requires people who commission public services to think about how they can secure wider social, economic and environmental benefits. Our Social Value Strategy aims to improve community wellbeing, inclusion, cohesion and empowerment whilst providing a baseline to measure our ability to contribute sustainably through our regional activities. This leads us to our Social Value Mission, to “deliver a positive impact on society, the economy and environment within which we work”.

As our supplier you will be expected to align your social value activities and objectives with Pell Frischmann’s. You will also be asked to commit to supporting us in delivering social value on our projects. For example, activities might include supporting and hiring local apprentices, delivering Carbon Reduction initiatives and initiating community and staff wellbeing projects.

Please watch our video for more details on how we expect our suppliers to support our Social Value mission.
