It is important that every employee is aware of his or her obligations under this Policy, and any queries should be addressed to the Managing Director or the Deputy Health and Safety Director.
The Company’s policy is to forbid the consumption of alcohol on Company premises during normal office hours.
Anti-Bribery Policy
The Company’s policy on anti-bribery applies to RSBG UK Ltd, Pell Frischmann Consulting Engineers Ltd Group and all their subsidiaries.
The company is dedicated to ensuring full compliance with all relevant anti-bribery and corruption laws and regulations, including the Bribery Act 2010. Its Anti-Bribery Policy extends to all the Company's business dealings and transactions; in all countries in which it or its subsidiaries and associates operate.
A business associate includes employees - including retained consultants and agency staff; subcontractors and suppliers, joint venture partners, agents and the Company's subsidiary companies.
The company policy is that it prohibits any employee or business associate from paying bribes or offering improper inducements to anyone for any purpose, nor do we or will we, accept bribes or improper inducements.
The company's Ethos and Values requires all employees to demonstrate honesty; integrity and fairness in all aspects of their business dealings and exercise appropriate standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in all their activities.
Anti Facilitation of Tax Evasion Policy

The Company is dedicated to ensuring full compliance with all financial laws and regulations, including the Criminal Finances Act 2017. Its Anti Facilitation of Tax Evasion Policy extends to all the Company’s business dealings and transactions; in all countries in which it or its subsidiaries and associates operate. The Company’s policy on anti-slavery and human trafficking applies to RSBG UK Ltd, Pell Frischmann Consulting Engineers Ltd Group and all their subsidiaries.
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person's liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place, anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.
We are also committed to ensuring there is transparency in our own business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our supply chains, consistent with disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We expect the same high standards from all of our contractors, suppliers and other business partners, and as part of our contracting processes, we include specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, or anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children, and we expect that our suppliers will hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.
This policy applies to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives and business partners.

The company’s policy on Building Information Management (BIM) applies to all companies in the Pell Frischmann Consulting Engineers Ltd Group including any subsidiaries.
The company is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy providing expertise in infrastructure and the built environment.
The policy of the company is that our services to the client are performed in a manner that satisfies client’s and relevant interested parties needs and expectations, compliance obligations with regard to quality, BIM, health and safety, environment, reliability and performance criteria.
This policy has been formalised in the Company’s Business Management System which meets the requirements of the various Standards, Methods and Procedures such as PAS1192- 2: 2013.
Carbon Reduction Plan
Pell Frischmann has committed to net carbon neutrality in our operations by 2025 and net zero carbon by 2040.
As a consultant to the built and natural environment, we have to balance the wants and needs of society with safeguarding the future of the planet. We have a contractual obligation to deliver the professional services required by our client and an ethical obligation to work with our clients and industry to help shape a more sustainable future.

The Policy of the Company is that our services to the client are performed in a manner that satisfies client’s, employees and relevant interested parties needs and expectations, compliance obligations and good practice with regards to data protection.
This Policy has been formalised in the Company’s Data Protection Management System, which addresses the model specified in BS10012: 2017 – Data Protection and applicable requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016 and the Data Protection Act 2018.

This policy supplements the Health and Safety Policy Statement. It is important that every employee is aware of his or her obligations under this Policy, and any queries should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer or the Deputy Health and Safety Director.
Any employee must not commence work or continue to work, if he or she is fatigued to such an extent that their condition may prejudice his or her safety or the safety of others.
Managers are authorised to prevent any employee from commencing work or continuing to work, if they believe the employee is fatigued.
Gender Pay Report
Gender balance is a longstanding challenge in engineering, and one that must be overcome with urgency. When Pell Frischmann reported its gender pay gap last year, we set out our action plan for improving the pay gap within our company. We are pleased to report this year that the action plan is delivering a reduced pay gap.

Social Value
Pell Frischmann designs and delivers infrastructure, supports communities and enables economic growth to deliver community benefits and additional social value. We assist our clients in maximising the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of local communities through the delivery of our work (projects) and as a business through corporate initiatives.
Supplier Payment
In 2018, Pell Frischmann laid out a Supplier Collaboration Strategy. This ambitious proposal was driven by our wider organic growth plan. We recognised that to achieve this growth, we would have to join forces with other medium-sized organisations, like ourselves, as well as energise a wider SME and niche supply chain to aid in realising valuable benefits for clients. The mission of our strategy is “to be the partner of choice for all suppliers”.
Embedded within this strategy is our Fair & Prompt Payment proposals, including a payment terms promise, ensuring suppliers' invoices are approved and paid within agreed terms and in a timely manner. We are committed to achieving ≥95% of invoices payable to our supply chain across all contracts having been paid within 60 days of receipt of the invoice.
For the quarter running from 1st July 2019 to 30th September 2019, we have achieved 91%. We recognise that to achieve our commitment, an action plan to improve this metric is required. A summary of this action plan can be found at the below link.

The Company has always believed in the value of innovating and adding value to the natural and built environment. As international leaders in the field of engineering consultancy, we are committed to bringing our experience and knowledge to achieve sustainable solutions for our clients. Moreover, as signatories to the Bali Communique, we have pledged to engage positively with governments to help develop the policies and measures that are needed internationally and nationally for the business sector to contribute effectively to building a low carbon economy. We recognise that the adoption of a low-carbon economy will serve to mitigate environmental impacts of potential future emissions whilst creating significant business opportunities.
We have an internal Environmental Policy, which has the active commitment and involvement of our Board and the Leadership Team. This Policy has been formalised in the Company’s Environmental Management System which addresses the model specified in ISO14001: 2015 – Environmental Management System Requirements. We consider sustainability to signify maximisation of the lifetime of a development. Energy efficiency, CO2 minimisation, material re-use, social stability, environmental balance, healthy environments and financial performance are integral to our approach.
Whistle Blowing Policy
The Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 gives protection to workers who "blow the whistle" at work. This Policy provides guidance on the law from 25 June 2013 onwards.
An employee is protected by the Act if they make a disclosure of information, which they reasonably believe, shows a relevant failure on the part of the Company.
