We are thrilled to welcome three talented T-Level students to our Croydon office. Coming over from Barking and Dagenham College (BADC), these students are well into their 9-week placement programme to gain valuable hands-on experience in various engineering disciplines and computer-aided design (CAD).

T-levels, a relatively new educational pathway in the UK, offer students a unique blend of classroom learning and real-world workplace experience.  Designed as a two-year course following GCSEs and considered equivalent to three A-Levels, T-levels provide a more structured and extended alternative to traditional work experience placements.

The T-Level initiative in Croydon complements our ongoing program at the Wakefield office, which provides placement opportunities for students at Barnsley College, highlighting the importance of collaboration between industry and academia.

Lee Brock, Pell Frischmann’s Water and Utilities Sector Director said:

We are excited to offer three BADC students the opportunity to spend time with Pell Frischmann’s design team. The program will equip them with the necessary tools to succeed, providing them with a clear path towards employment, apprenticeships, or further education opportunities, whilst increasing our social value efforts within the local community.

Paul Sturch, Pell Frischmann’s Technical Director said:

It was great to have the opportunity to provide the BADC students with real life work experience in Engineering and in doing so it has sparked an interest in pursuing engineering as a career. It’s important that we look forward and create paths for anyone interested in engineering to get into the industry at all levels and I am looking forward to the opportunity to bring on more T Level students and apprentices in the near future.

We are excited to continue working with T-Level students to further strengthen the connection between education and the built environment industry.

Life at Pell Frischmann

Life at Pell Frischmann offers the unique opportunity to be part of an agile, mid-sized multi-disciplinary consultancy,  approaching it’s centenary year in 2026. We retain a family-led entrepreneurial ethos; big enough to work on some of the UK’s most iconic and important projects, but small enough that every person in our business is visible to us.

We live by our values of Reliable, Respectful, Responsible, Responsive and Rewarding. We pride ourselves on being a non-bureaucratic business, offering you the opportunity to collaborate on a diverse range of projects in both the public and private sectors.

You’ll experience what it’s like to work for an organisation with a noble purpose: we are owned by RAG-Stiftung, a foundation dealing with the commitments resulting from the closing of Germany’s hard-coal mining industry, so our work directly contributes to protecting the environment.
