Pell Frischmann’s Blackpool Quality Corridors Scheme Gains Recognition

Pell Frischmann is proud to announce that its Blackpool Quality Corridors Scheme has been highly commended for the Project of the Year Award by The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation’s (CIHT) North West Awards.

The CIHT North West Awards is an annual competition that celebrates the most technically excellent and innovative highways and transportation schemes within the North West.

Partnered with John Sisk and Son, the scheme is an exciting urban redevelopment programme that combines streetscaping and environmental regeneration in the heart of Blackpool’s town centre. The creation of a new public realm, sustainable drainage systems and improved traffic flow has provided the much-needed upgrade for tourists and residents within the area.

Matthew Davies, Pell Frischmann’s Highways and Transportation Divisional Director said:

We are proud to have delivered the Quality Corridors programme with John Sisk and Sons for Blackpool Council. The design and construction of this programme along with the design of the wider Town Centre Access Scheme is an excellent example of the synergies and qualities that can be driven through collaborative delivery.  Pell Frischmann, John Sisk and Sons and Blackpool Council have worked as a team delivering to a tight timeframe in challenging urban environment.

Pell Frischmann is delighted to see the Blackpool Quality Corridors Scheme gain the recognition it deserves and look forward to adding more value to infrastructure in the North West.
