Pell Frischmann Welcomes New Environment Sector Director, David Thomson

Pell Frischmann is delighted to welcome David Thomson as its new Environment Sector Director.

With 30 years’ experience in the industry, David began his career at the Institute of Environmental Assessment (now IEMA) before joining the private sector in 1996. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Due Diligence, Sustainability, Stakeholder Engagement and Project Management.

Our growing Environment Sector recognises that the built environment and our nation’s infrastructure need to address more than just the immediate requirements of today’s population; the impact of climate change and securing our long-term sustainable and environmentally resilient future needs to be built into every element of design, construction, and asset management processes. As a passionate advocate of sustainable development, David’s immediate priority is to capitalise and enhance the specialist skills we already have here at Pell Frischmann. Additionally, his longer-term goals seek to increase the market recognition of our environment team, enabling us to be seen as the industry’s go-to environmental consultant.

On his appointment David said:

I’m very excited to be joining a company that puts its money where its mouth is. It is founded on the basis of feeding back funds into the remediation of historically contaminated land, which is a common problem in most Western industrialised countries. I feel that as part of the environmental team at Pell Frischmann, that is our raison d’être – to improve and enhance the environment – so our work really does underline the company’s noble purpose and is something to be very proud of.
