Pell Frischmann Volunteers at Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre

Last month, five members of our Edinburgh office volunteered with Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre, spending the day supporting their day-to-day work within the local community.

The Centre plays an important role in the area, helping to meet the social, cultural, economic and environmental needs of some of the most vulnerable locals, providing quality classes, activities and social events meant to inspire, educate, and entertain.

Collaborating with the Centre’s gardener, our volunteers helped with practical gardening such as hedge cutting, moving soil in the garden, and picking berries for the on-site cafe and Community Larder. The team also painted outdoor furniture and a blackboard for local children to draw on, contributing to the maintenance of a space that continues to provide support, connection, and a sense of belonging for the community in Drylaw / Telford.

It was a great experience volunteering at Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre alongside with my Pell Frischmann colleagues. It was deeply fulfilling to contribute to the Centre which plays such a vital role in the community.
