Pell Frischmann to Produce a Bus Feasibility Study for Ashby Road
Pell Frischmann is pleased to have been appointed to North Lincolnshire Council’s Ashby Road Bus Feasibility Study.
The project aims to reduce delays and travel times as well as improve journey reliability for bus users along this key transport corridor between Ashby and Scunthorpe. To achieve this, dedicated bus priority measures will be explored for Ashby Road, specifically between the junction of Oswald Road/Station Road and Queensway Roundabout.
Our feasibility study will identify and analyse existing and future traffic conditions, whilst creating solutions that meet both today’s and tomorrow’s travel demands. This includes undertaking an assessment of the network using transport modelling software and producing concept designs for the provision of bus priority measures along the corridor.
Adam Lechmere, our Transportation Technical Director, said:
We are delighted to be assisting North Lincolnshire Council with this Feasibility Study so that suitable measures for reducing bus journey times and improving service reliability can be progressed on this key public transport corridor in Scunthorpe
Pell Frischmann looks forward to helping North Lincolnshire Council promote bus travel as a safer and more sustainable alternative, contributing to the environment, economy, and social well-being of the people in North Lincolnshire.
