Pell Frischmann Shortlisted at NCE Bridges Awards 2026

We’re delighted to share that Pell Frischmann has been shortlisted at this year’s NCE Bridges Awards, recognising both our consultancy expertise and our work on the Portsmouth PFI Design Services Framework.

We have been shortlisted for the following awards:

• Bridge Consultant of the Year Award
• Bridge Management (Portsmouth PFI) Award

The Portsmouth PFI Bridge Management project focuses on the long-term, proactive management of a diverse portfolio of bridge and highway structures across the city. In partnership with Ensign and Colas, we provide inspections, route maintenance regimes, and design services for more than 75 critical structures, including retaining walls, footbridges, highway viaducts, and bridges. The scope of the work spans 25 years, making it an essential and ongoing contribution to the city’s transport and asset management strategy.

Our approach ensures asset longevity, making certain that each structure is efficiently maintained, upgraded, and monitored for the benefit of the local community and beyond. This project exemplifies best practice in bridge management, balancing safety, sustainability, and operational efficiency across a complex urban network

Our close collaboration with Ensign and Colas has been central to the success of the Portsmouth PFI, fostering strong partnerships and delivering outcomes that add lasting value for the client and local community.

Simon Hibbert, our Technical Director, said:

This year, we took a step back and asked ourselves what “good” really looks like for a modern consultancy. We agreed that it’s about being recognised for consistently delivering technical excellence – something that starts and ends with our people. By empowering and supporting each other and taking time to celebrate the everyday wins, we achieve great things as a team. We don’t always shout about our successes, so being shortlisted by our peers is a real honour, and we’re proud to be in the running for the main awards.

The NCE Bridges Awards ceremony will take place on July 16th 2026, held in London. We wish all nominees the best of luck!
