Pell Frischmann is delighted to announce its appointment to the Framework for the Provision of Transportation and Development Professional Services for Birmingham City Council, working in multiple specialist services in Lot 1, and Lot 3A, for the next four years. This is the second time in a row that we have been successful on this Framework.
We are proud to showcase our wide-ranging technical expertise within this framework. Lot 1, demonstrates this, with specialist engineering roles ranging from Transport Planning to Structural Engineering. Lot 3A will showcase our expertise in Project Resourcing in Highways and Infrastructure, supporting the council within the Transport & Connectivity and Highways Teams.
It is an exciting time for England’s second largest city and its residents. The city’s regeneration is in preparation of Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, where approximately 1.3M people will be visiting for the global event. Birmingham City Council’s framework will provide the necessary infrastructure required to not only allow eventgoers to travel throughout the city, but also for the residents to travel in and out of the city seamlessly. The framework is providing long-term solutions, that will stretch far beyond 2022.
Our teams look forward to collaborating closely with Birmingham City Council and their stakeholders and partners to plan, design, supervise and inspect highways and civils engineering in the West Midlands region.
Himanshu Budhiraja, Highways & Transportation Divisional Director, said: “Pell Frischmann and the city of Birmingham have a special relationship. From the extensions of the Midlands Metro tram, to the development of the Birmingham Transport Plan, we are delighted to add this major Transportation and Development framework to our portfolio. Birmingham is continuing to redevelop itself as one of Europe’s great cities through world-class redevelopment schemes. Our success on the framework is a huge win and testament to our engineers and planners and their acclaimed success. We are looking forward to collaborating closely with Birmingham City Council and our partners”.
