Pell Frischmann is proud to announce we have been appointed on Lot 1 of the Peel Ports Framework for Engineering Consultancy services for the next eight years.

Peel Ports Group Limited (PPG) owns and operates some of the UK’s most important ports.

Peel Ports safely handle over 70 million tonnes of cargo from across the globe and enable businesses to benefit from innovative and sustainable port-centric solutions, their strategically located ports, terminals and state-of-the-art technology.

They have committed to becoming a net zero port operator by 2040, ten years ahead of the UK Government’s national decarbonising targets.

As part of their commitment to becoming net zero by 2040, a number of initiatives and investments have been implemented to help reach the milestone across all of its locations in the UK and Ireland. Peel Ports has invested over £1.2 billion across the last decade on sustainable infrastructure and technology to future proof its operations including the delivery of energy efficient cranes, LED lighting and choosing sustainable, low emission equipment and suppliers.

Pell Frischmann has been appointed to provide engineering consultancy services to further support their net zero target in addition to the construction, repair and renovation of assets which enable the efficient operation of each Port.

This is linked with Pell Frischmann’s noble purpose; our ultimate parent, RAG-Stiftung, is a foundation prioritising the long-term environmental and social commitments resulting from the closing of Germany’s hard-coal mining industry. Our mission is to generate sustainable funds for the foundation; so, our work directly contributes to protecting the environment.
