Pell Frischmann is expanding its Edinburgh office. Launched in January this year with the appointment of Gordon Buchan as Divisional Director for Scotland, it has already outgrown its original accommodation.
The Edinburgh office adds to Pell Frischmann’s growing network of offices around the world. The new team is supporting transport planning and new infrastructure and development projects across Scotland, as well as renewables projects across the UK and Ireland.
Pell Frischmann currently delivers the full range of Roads, Transport and Civil Engineering consultancy services on a local, regional and international scale. The development of a new team in Edinburgh is key to establishing similar workstreams in Scotland and to challenging the larger, established engineering firms based in the Capital and in Glasgow.
Over the past six months or so, the Edinburgh team has positioned itself at the forefront of several significant renewables projects, from the Northern Isles to South Wales. Clients include the majority of the Big Six energy firms, independent wind farm developers and several turbine suppliers. Other projects have included works to support new commercial developments, access studies for residential developments and the creation of new active travel networks in the Western Isles.
Divisional Director for Scotland, Gordon Buchan, commented:
“The consulting engineering market in Scotland is open for new challengers and our rapid growth in Edinburgh has provided Pell Frischmann with a platform to continue to expand in the Scottish market and to take on some of the region’s more established players.
“As we move into bigger offices, we are looking forward to continuing that growth and, indeed, diversify into new markets.”
