Green Awards, UK Collaboration Award Nomination
We’re thrilled to announce that Pell Frischmann has been shortlisted for the Green Collaboration Award at the Green Awards UK 2025 for the ADEPT Liverpool Live Labs 2 project.
Other notable partners in this collaboration include Liverpool City Council, Colas, Bird and Bird, Proving Services and Liverpool John Moores University.
ADEPT Live Labs 2: Decarbonising Local Roads is a three-year, UK-wide £30 million programme funded by the Department for Transport (DfT).
Pell Frischmann is proud to be involved in this large-scale project aimed at supporting Liverpool’s transition to net-zero. As a key delivery partner, our innovative approach features the Carbon Hierarchy Lens (CHL) Toolkit, a system that simplifies data collection and analysis to deliver optimal low-carbon design solutions. It enables an accurate assessment of both carbon and project cost baseline, driving re-design and co-design activities to effectively minimise the carbon footprint. Additionally, it helps Liverpool City Council (LCC) reduce carbon emissions from highway maintenance while improving efficiency, quality, cost, and transparency.
We would like to thank Liverpool City Council, and partners for their continued collaboration and shared commitment.
Dr. Mansi Desai, our Technical Director and Head of Sustainability, said:
Being shortlisted for the Green Award UK is a proud milestone and a testament to the power of collaboration. At Pell Frischmann, supporting our clients on their sustainability journeys is at the heart of our ethos, and this project exemplifies that commitment. Working together with Liverpool City Council, Colas and other partners, we’ve managed to create a living laboratory for sustainable infrastructure. This recognition not only celebrates what we’ve achieved together so far but also inspires us to continue driving meaningful change through this partnership and innovation.
Andy Mollon, the Director of Highways and Transportation for Liverpool City Council, said:
LCC is aiming to become a net-zero carbon city by 2030, with a broader goal of becoming a zero-carbon city region by 2035. We have welcomed the support of Pell Frischmann colleagues, bringing with them a breadth of experience in developing low-carbon, climate-resilient options, and working with us to focus on futureproofing, practical solutions, which can be delivered at a local level. It has been a pleasure to work with a consultancy team who have listened and understood client needs, delivered expert advice, bringing innovation, and value to our organisation, always in a collaborative, professional manner.
The awards ceremony is due to take place on 10th September 2025, and we wish all nominees the best of luck!
