Graduate Engineer Wins Prestigious Nethercot Prize

We are excited to announce that our Graduate Engineer, Livia Guimarães has won this year’s Nethercot Prize as part of the awards for the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE).

The Nethercot Prize is awarded annually to an early career architect, engineer or designer in recognition of the quality of a written paper submitted for judging.

As a Graduate Engineer at Pell Frischmann, Livia submitted her paper on our work with Space House. Space House is an icon of mid-sixties brutalist architecture which is being reimagined as modern workspace for a city’s population that has grown by nearly 1.5M since it was originally constructed.

Following her win, Livia said:

I’ve always seen architecture and history as one of construction’s biggest accolade and finding opportunities to celebrate the past, and be recognised for it, means so much to me.

Well done Livia!
