Etruria Valley Link Road Enters Construction Phase
Pell Frischmann is thrilled to announce that construction on the Etruria Valley Scheme has now commenced.
Awarded to Pell Frischmann in 2015, Stoke on Trent’s £43M Etruria Valley Link Road scheme is a project that looks to create a new 1km long link road, where it will connect Wolstanton junction on the A500 to St Modwen Park Stoke Central – one of the six key employment sites of the Ceramic Valley Enterprise Zone.
Working with contractors Balfour Beatty, over the next 24 months, Pell Frischmann will be providing site supervision for the construction of:
- A major seven span viaduct built over the West Coast Mainline railway;
- A new canal bridge; and
- New link roads forming the main entrance to Stoke City Centre.
As a critical infrastructure to improving connectivity, the scheme looks to attract Investment for local businesses and create hundreds of jobs whilst reducing congestion within the area.
Stuart Cox, Pell Frischmann’s Highways and Transport Sector Director said:
Thanks to everyone who has been involved in the project over the past 5-years, we are now constructing a scheme to be proud of.
Pell Frischmann is excited to be working with its client and partners to help support the continued growth of Stoke on Trent and its surrounding areas.
