Pell Frischmann Appointed to Cumbria County Council Professional Services Framework
Pell Frischmann is delighted to announce its appointment to the Cumbria County Council Professional Services Framework. The framework will see us delivering Civils, Highways & Transport Engineering Consultancy services in Cumbria over the next four years. Pell Frischmann have secured a place on both the Civil & Structural Engineering Lot and the Growth & Infrastructure (Transport and Highways) Lot.
The Framework will enable a range of infrastructure, design, and planning work to support the council in promoting economic growth, identifying infrastructure improvements and securing support and funding necessary to develop and deliver these.
Through the framework, the council is seeking to have a clear impact on the Cumbrian economy through job creation, training and development opportunities and development of the local supply chain. Cumbria County Council will also use the Framework to ensure operational greenhouse gas emissions of the council are reduced significantly towards Net Zero over the next two decades.
Pell Frischmann’s Framework Director, Matthew Davies (Divisional Director for the North-West region) said:
We are delighted to have secured a place on this significant framework for a key North-West local authority and we look forward to working on schemes that will benefit the communities of Cumbria.
Securing a place on the Cumbria County Council’s Professional Service Framework complements the significant package of Active Travel work Pell Frischmann is currently undertaking in Cumbria for the council. On this commission – one of the largest Active Travel schemes in the country, Pell Frischmann is developing and designing walking and cycling infrastructure for over 31km of routes across Carlisle, Kendal, Barrow, Penrith, Workington and Whitehaven, to progress the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans (LCWIPs) programme across the county.
