Main Purpose of the Job

Our Edinburgh office is seeking enthusiastic Transport Planners to join our growing team engaged in all aspects of transport planning, including Transport Assessments for new developments, masterplanning and urban regeneration projects and Travel Plans. We are looking for keen, outgoing and versatile individuals with a genuine interest in the Transport Planning profession.

You will be able to work on autonomously, managing workload and deliverables to meet a diverse project portfolio and the deadlines associated with these. As the role is home based a great deal of responsibility will be placed on the applicant to manage their own time and workload.

Qualification Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Transport Planning, Engineering, Town Planning, Geography and/or other numerate degrees.
Experience 3 years minimum experience in a similar position
Skills Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients, both written and spoken.

Good written English for reports.
Strong numeracy, analytical and report writing skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work to deadlines both within teams and autonomously.

Familiarity with the Planning Regulatory Framework.

Knowledge of planning and transport planning policy and relevant design standards and guidance.
