Main Purpose of the Job

Based in our Exeter office you will manage and lead a design team in the delivery of projects associated with our civil structures and highways sector clients. This team has a compliment of 75 and is growing rapidly based on reputation and business development success. Current projects include bridge inspection, load assessments, feasibility reports and the design of highway and rail structures.

We are currently working on the Marsh Barton Railway Station – The scheme involves the design of a new 3 span steel pedestrian and cycle bridge to provide connectivity between the station and surrounding areas.

Hoo Rail Project – Pell Frischmann are currently engaged in providing technical design services for the reinstatement of a passenger service and a new station on the Grain Branch Railway line on the Hoo Peninsula.  The scheme which is commissioned by Medway Council involves design development from GRIP2 to GRIP 4 in upgrading and strengthening of existing bridges.

As a Principal Engineer at Pell Frischmann you will be responsible for the technical and commercial success of your projects and the performance of your team. You will collaborate across the UK and be supported by the company to progress your own and your team’s professional development and careers.
