They say that "Milton Keynes is a great place in a roundabout sort of way!" In reality it's so much more than the famous grid road system and concrete cows. Hidden amongst the extensive landscaping lies Britain's fastest growing and most innovative new city, a vibrant and exciting place to live, work and play.
Biased? Well maybe just a little, after all, our office has played a major part in the development of the city since its inception 40 years ago. Some of our people can even remember Milton Keynes when it was just a small village with a great pub. They are now passing on their extensive knowledge and experience to a new generation of engineers.
We work pro-actively with public and private sector clients to build sustainable communities and add value to land holdings. At Bedford we recently advised a major developer during the planning process for 2700 new homes and are now designing the new infrastructure for it. At Luton we are designing a major new inner ring road extension as part of a plan to regenerate the town centre.
Sustainability lies at the heart of our business and is exemplified in our current work on a new 200 acre mixed use development in South Wales. In addition, we have recently completed an award winning sustainable housing development in Upton, Northamptonshire, which incorporates exemplary sustainable urban drainage.
